CASE STUDY:
Simplifying Technical Complexity for Alutel Mobility
Overview
Alutel Mobility is a comprehensive security platform designed to manage operations in remote and complex environments. The core challenge of this project was that the original documentation was laden with highly technical jargon, making it difficult for the personnel who used it daily to understand. My objective was to design a brochure that served as a bridge, translating this advanced technology into a clear, direct, and easy-to-digest visual guide for all staff.
The Strategy (The Mobility Suite 6.0)
To address this communication gap, I developed a visual structure focused on the modules that directly impact the workers’ daily routine. I utilised clean iconography and a minimalist design to explain the primary functionalities of Suite 6.0:
-
Access & Identity: Explaining how to transform a mobile device into an access card using RFID technology.
Mustering (Evacuation Control): A visual guide on how the system ensures employee safety by enabling immediate localisation during emergencies.
-
Aludoc: Simplifying the document management and compliance process for contractors.
-
Tikas: Providing clear instructions on using credentials for monitoring consumption within the cafeteria.
Visual Storytelling & Experience
To communicate the power of this tool, a demonstrative video was produced showing the suite in action. The video highlights how Alutel’s mobile technology enables access card reading, monitoring of panic alarms, and live tracking in environments where visibility was previously impossible.
